Fund Raising Ideas
Organise an event
Why not hold an event at work, school, university, at your local club or even with friends. The BHF has lots of in their “Do It For Us” booklet which has case studies of successful fundraisers and an A-Z of fundraising ideas. They will even provide you with the support of their local staff.
Making a donation
Call, write email or go on-line! There is plenty of opportunity to show your support. Why not donate a £1 to our Virtual Heart and have your name ever present in history.
Give a little help
We really need your help now so we can reach this target! Can you spare just a few hours now and then? We need hands to help us with events and local activities, collections, talks to schools and other groups, admin and internet work and lots more.
Don’t keep it to yourself
It’s often easier to fundraise with friends rather than on your own. Tell your family, friends, your local church, group or association about the appeal to see if they can help you, and are willing to support the appeal in some way.
We mean business
Do you belong to or know someone in a local business or social group who might support the appeal by making a donation, organising a fundraising event or allowing their staff to volunteer? Why not get together a team from your company? Ask if your company operates “matched giving”, which can double your efforts.
